Mio c230 updating
Red maps turn yellow in the My Maps window once activated.
Click on the icon for your GPS device below the My Maps window.
You can update your Mio Moov 500 GPS device with maps from the installation DVD or by purchasing the updates from the Mio website (see Resources).
The installation DVD comes with the Mio More Desktop software, which you can use to install, activate and remove maps from your device, as well as update older maps with newer versions.
Click on the "Transfer Now" button to transfer the map updates to your device.
The map will display as green in the My Maps section once the transfer is complete.
Note that you need an active Internet connection in order to update your device's maps using the Mio More Desktop software on your computer. The installer launches automatically, but if the setup file does not launch, navigate to the “Install.exe” file on the DVD, and then click the file to start the installation.
If the map requires activation, the Activation wizard launches. The guide has made hacking/unlocking Mio C230 possible and it has inspired other efforts for making Mio C230 a wonderful device to own.In the first release, I did not tweak the desktop at all.Like many GPS services, Mio uses a firmware program you install on your computer to manage new map purchases and updates.
Mio More communicates with your GPS device when you connect it to your computer's USB connection and allows you to move data on or off the device.
Connect your Mio GPS unit to the computer with the USB cable that came with the device. Maps in green are already installed on your GPS, yellow maps are ready to be installed on the device and maps requiring activation are displayed in red.
